Telling a non-linear story: the exploration of micro-artefacts’ non-linear structure

This paper presents a non-linear method, the spherical self-organizing feature map, which may complement known linear methods by improving the interpretation of micro-artefacts. An example is given on micro-artefact data from the Neolithic tell site at Paliambela, Northern Greece.
