Abstract
ⶠNanocomposite hydrogel based on natural polysaccharides and gold nanoparticles. ⶠBroad spectrum antimicrobial activity of the hydrogels. ⶠIn vitro toxic effects towards eukaryotic cell-lines. ⶠIn vitro cytotoxicity is induced by increase of ROS intracellular level and leads to apoptotic cell death. ⶠIn vivo biocompatibility associated with fibrous capsule formation.
