Abstract
ⶠThe hot homogenization and ultrasonication method are feasible for preparation of enrofloxacin-loaded fatty acid SLN. ⶠThe SLN have sustained release effects and can enhance the pharmacological activity of enrofloxacin. ⶠThe fatty acids significantly affected the physicochemical characteristics and pharmacological activity of enrofloxacin-loaded SLN. ⶠLonger carbon chain length of fatty acid resulted in higher drug incorporation and more pronounced sustained release in vitro. ⶠThe enhancement of bioavailability and systematic circulation time of the drug were significantly increased with the decrease of carbon chain length.
