Abstract
ⶠThe influence of sedimentation is often neglected in parallel plate flow cells. ⶠBacterial concentration can be measured microscopically as function of the height from the bottom plate. ⶠBacterial sedimentation rate can be calculated from experimental observations. ⶠSedimentation is a dominant factor in bacterial transport in a parallel plate flow cell.
