Abstract
ⶠFactorial design enabled to successfully formulate solid lipid nanoparticles with an optimized nanometric particle size, and good stability. ⶠSolvent:lipid ratio represented the main factor influencing particle size, and did not seem to depend on lipid or surfactant molecule. ⶠThe amount of emulsifier had a non-trivial impact upon size, depending on whether systems were located below, above or close to the optimal surface coverage.
