Abstract
ⶠThis paper presents a novel single basin bioreactor and new findings for the simultaneous removal of nitrogen and CH2O in the MSCR system. ⶠThe MSCR achieved the removal of 100% of the CH2O and approximately 99.9% of the nitrogen at a loading rate of 1.25 kg N/m3d and 1.25 kg CH2O/m3d, respectively, over a 24 h cycle time. ⶠAmmonia nitrogen was removed in the MSCR from the inlet wastewater in the presence of CH2O through the SND process in the presence of CH2O.
