Abstract
⺠We propose to link biofuel cultivation with forest conservation (REDD + Biofuels). ⺠A similar proposal to support reforestation on degraded landscapes (RDL + Biofuels). ⺠Woody perennial biofuel species on low biomass landscapes maximize carbon benefits. ⺠REDD+ revenues can subsidize and foster sustainable biofuels. ⺠Production of sustainable biofuels can strengthen REDD+ initiatives.
