Abstract
⺠We assess cradle-to-farm gate impacts of alternative bioenergy production systems including annual and perennial crops. ⺠We examine the impacts characterized into conventional impact categories. ⺠Cradle-to-farm gate processes cause major impacts on whole chain. ⺠We identify the best suited crops for different purposes from the environmental point of view.
