Abstract
► Silicone membrane systems can be utilized for efficient CO transfer in a MFC. ► Enhanced gas transfer leads to higher CO transformation efficiency. ► Membrane systems offer the advantage of reduced reactor volumes. ► Reduced reactor volumes lead to higher volumetric power output. ► Maximum power output of 18 mW LR-1 and CO conversion efficiency of 98% was obtained.
