Abstract
⺠Non-catalytic liquefaction of Japanese beech wood in subcritical phenol. ⺠Hemicellulose was first liquefied followed by lignin and cellulose. ⺠Different kinetic mechanisms were found for lignin, cellulose, and hemicellulose.
