Abstract
⺠We examined the influence of fibrous fractions on biochemical methane potential. ⺠Lignin in crops had a greater effect than in animal manures on methane potential. ⺠Lignin was the strongest predictor of biochemical methane potential. ⺠Methane potential models were successfully built by lignin for both groups. ⺠A combined model of animal manure and crops for methane potential was validated.
