Abstract
⺠Microbial removal from liquid fraction of manure examined in meso-scale ICW's. ⺠Salmonella undetectable in influent and Escherichia coli and Enterococcus rarely detected. ⺠Flow through cells reduced coliform, yeasts and moulds and spore-forming bacteria. ⺠Counts varied with season with coliform highest in the Summer. ⺠In future could spike influence with antibiotic-marked pathogen to track within ICW.
