Abstract
⺠Hemicelluloses were precipitated from pre-hydrolysis liquor via ethanol treatment. ⺠Precipitated hemicelluloses and a commercial xylan sample were bleached via the D0EpD1 sequence. ⺠The characteristics of bleached hemicelluloses and xylan were evaluated. ⺠Their adsorption on high-yield pulp and their influence on papers made of HYP were assessed.
