Abstract
⺠Xylose reductase from Debaryomyces nepalensis was purified. ⺠Optimal pH and temperature for activity was 7.0 and 45 °C. ⺠Absolute requirement of NADPH for activity. ⺠Enzyme was found to be moderately halotolerant.
