Abstract
⺠Steam gasification experiments were performed in thermobalance on chars of various woods. ⺠Large differences of average reaction rate were observed. ⺠The kinetics was described through a model considering the ratio potassium/silicium of the sample. ⺠The catalytic effect of potassium and inhibitor effect of silicium were highlighted.
