Abstract
⺠Bioaugmentation of a rotating biological contactor with a specialized strain achieved. ⺠Biodegradation of 50 mg Lâ1 of 2-fluorophenol was reached after bioaugmentation. ⺠The bioaugmented strain was recovered from the biofilm after ca. 6 months operation. ⺠Bioaugmentation is often needed for the degradation of highly recalcitrant compounds. ⺠Biodegradation of 2-FP was completely recovered after 1 month of substrate absence.
