Abstract
⺠Kans grass as a novel lignocellulosic material was used as for bioethanol production. ⺠Optimization of on site production of crude cellulase enzyme from T. reesei. ⺠Acid pretreatment of Kans grass was followed by hydrolysis using crude enzyme. ⺠Resulted sugar after enzymatic hydrolysis was used for ethanol production by S. cerevisiae. ⺠On site produced crude enzyme may be more cost effective for bioethanol production.
