Abstract
► This research reveals a set of homogeneous reactions that occur in glucose secondary pyrolysis. ► Pyrolysing primary products in a secondary reactor yielded significant gasoline range hydrocarbons. ► These hydrocarbons formed even in the absence of a catalyst. ► Incorporation of a catalyst into a secondary reactor may add synergy to the deoxygenation process.
