Abstract
⺠Recovery strategies were to tackle the impact of phenols in the UASB reactor treating CGWW. ⺠Oxygen-limited aeration and addition of PAC were the best recovery strategies. ⺠Reduction of bioavailable phenols and recovery of sludge activity were the decisive factors.
