Abstract
⺠Stable continuous fermentation by the newly isolated Caloramator boliviensis. ⺠Fermentative conversion of cellobiose, xylose, and bagasse hydrolysate into ethanol. ⺠The sugar to ethanol conversion efficiency ranged from 63% to 90%. ⺠Ethanol yields of 0.34-0.39 g/g were achieved by xylose fermentation. ⺠Higher ethanol yields (0.40-0.46 g/g) were achieved by fermentation of bagasse hydrolysate.
