Abstract
⺠Ultrasonic pretreatment of lignocellulose in ionic liquids is suggested. ⺠This was more efficient than the existing thermal pretreatment in ionic liquid. ⺠Sixty to ninety-five percentage of cellulose in kenaf powder was hydrolyzed to glucose after the pretreatment.
