Abstract
⺠We developed an integrated process for the valorization of olive mill wastewater. ⺠Sixty percent of olive mill wastewaters polyphenols were recovered by solid phase extraction. ⺠An acidogenic packed bed reactor fed with dephenolized effluents was developed. ⺠More than 70% of the anaerobic effluent COD was due to VFAs. ⺠Molecular biology tools demonstrated the robustness of the developed process.
