Abstract
►Metschnikowia koreensis was found as potent biocatalyst for ketone reduction. ► Reduction activity of M. koreensis was increased by fermentation. ► Glucose and Zn2+ significantly increased the enzyme activity in shake flask. ► High agitation, low aeration and neutral pH assisted the enzyme activity in bioreactor.
