Abstract
⺠An adapted strain of Pichia stipitis was used to produce ethanol from corn stalk. ⺠The enzymatic hydrolysate from steam-exploded corn stalk un-detoxified was fermented. ⺠The ethanol concentration of 43.42 g/L and yield of 0.47 gs/gp were reached. ⺠The strain reduced water consumption and lowered equipment investment in the process. ⺠Referring cost and technology can be greatly reduced and simplify.
