Abstract
⺠A two-stage fungal biopulping method was examined to improve enzymatic hydrolysis yield from wood for ethanol production. ⺠Fungi grew on Liriodendron tulipifera wood but did not significantly decrease the percent carbohydrate content. ⺠A two-stage treatment of Ceriporiopsis subvermispora followed by Postia placenta increased the yield of enzymatic hydrolysis.
