Abstract
► Solid nanosized hydrotalcite nanoparticles were synthesized by co-precipitation. ► The nanoparticles were activated with Ca(OH)2, and used for cellulose hydrolysis. ► Over 47% hydrolysis yield with 85% glucose selectivity was achieved at 423 K. ► The nanocatalyst was stable and unleachable, and easily separated for four cycles.
