Abstract
⺠The present work proposes the use of Pleurotus ostreatus immobilized on Amberlite XAD-4 in trace metal determination. ⺠The proposed procedure provides a simple, sensitive, precise and accurate technique. ⺠The recoveries of analytes studied were nearly quantitative (95 %). ⺠The analytes could be preconcentrated directly by using the proposed method without using any chelating or complexing agent. ⺠The method is relatively rapid as compared with previously reported solid phase extraction procedures.
