Abstract
► The novelty of this work is to study the oxidative stress in Blakeslea trispora. ► Enhanced aeration caused changes of the morphology of the microorganism. ► This morphological differentiation was associated with high oxidative stress. ► The high oxidative stress in fungus increased significantly the carotene production.
