Abstract
⺠The OHE reaction of furfural and acetic acid is feasible over bifunctional catalyst. ⺠A synergy effect is observed over Pd/Al2(SiO3)3 for the OHE reaction. ⺠The OHE reaction of FAL and HAc should be carried out under moderate conditions. ⺠Other typical bio-oils components have some little effects on OHE reactions. ⺠The OHE method is a promising route for bio-oil upgrading.
