Abstract
⺠We studied the composting of pig manure with and without bulking agents. ⺠We measured compost stability (OUR test) and maturity (germinations test). ⺠Suitable bulking agents were sawdust, chopped straw and shredded green waste. ⺠Absence of bulking agent resulted in poor compost stability. ⺠Results of germination and respiration test were not correlated.
