Abstract
This paper presents results from investigations into quantifying and modelling the dust generation and air entrainment mechanisms that occur during free-falling streams of material. Emphasis is placed on the effects of drop height and product temperature. This information is important for the efficient design and operation of dust control systems, as well as minimising the risk and severity of dust explosions.
