Abstract
High cost and limited availability of capital are emerging as constraints on the distributed solar photovoltaic market. Securitization - the process of repackaging individual assets into tradable securities - opens up the possibility for the solar PV industry to access the massive capital supply in pension funds, hedge funds and similar pools.
