Abstract
Infrared (IR) has always been an important part of the spectrum for the compounds - whether for discrete emitters or imaging arrays, the future looks bright. Thanks to many years of R&D the complex technology for imaging arrays - quantum well infrared photodetectors (QWIPs) - is already reaching commercial fruition.
