Abstract
⺠Discrete packets of charge are obtained in LDPE at high electric fields. ⺠Charge pulse generation and propagation show differences related to humidity. ⺠Presence of superficial humidity favor charge packet formation and transit speed. ⺠In wet samples, charge is first accumulated in new superficial trap levels. ⺠Charge injection in dry samples occurs directly into the bulk.
