Abstract
In this study, we have constructed a square-like pressure wave generator consisting of a revolving shaft and a fixed ring. The square-like pressure wave is generated by the differential effect between the revolving shaft and fixed ring. Both are manufactured with different numbers of channels on the outer and inner circumference, respectively. A rotating converter motor drives the revolving shaft and switch on/off state for the hydraulic oil. This method can generate square-like pressure wave of frequency ranging from 60 Hz to 2.0 kHz that can be employed to measure the dynamic characteristics of a hydraulic pressure sensor. Furthermore, this device can work at high-frequency range because the square-like pressure wave is excited with high energy.
