Occupations and status of the Abri Pataud (Dordogne, France) during the Final Gravettian

Our observations confirm and clarify what had already been suggested as a result of the excavation of HL Movius: the Level 2 is a series of distinct human occupations. If the first occupations allow interpreting the shelter as a settlement place, however, the last occupation characterized by deposits of human remains associated with remarkable objects not under the sphere of day to day life seems to reflect some changes in the status of the site over time.
