Abstract
⺠Twisting distortion caused by welding is observed on thin plate stiffened structure. ⺠TEP based on ISM is efficient to predict welding distortion. ⺠Large deformation theory is introduced to study torsional buckling. ⺠Inherent deformation method is an ideal approach to investigate welding mechanics.
