Abstract
⺠We investigated the initiation and propagation of edge cracks by using GTN model. ⺠The damage parameters of a silicon steel were determined. ⺠The effects of rolling parameters on edge crack propagation were investigated. ⺠Crack length increases with the increasing of total reduction, friction coefficient and unit tension. ⺠Larger work roll can reduce the edge crack propagation.
