Abstract
► We investigated the initiation and propagation of edge cracks by using GTN model. ► The damage parameters of a silicon steel were determined. ► The effects of rolling parameters on edge crack propagation were investigated. ► Crack length increases with the increasing of total reduction, friction coefficient and unit tension. ► Larger work roll can reduce the edge crack propagation.
