Effect of Ti addition on forming limit diagrams of Nb-bearing ferritic stainless steel

► The addition of alloying element Ti to Nb single stabilization 15%Cr stabilization steel reduces the presence of second phase particles, ensure much of Nb may remain in solid to retard the recrystallization and then refine the grain size of the ferrite which improve the formability. ► Ti addition is contributed to the recrystallization γ-fiber shifted from {1 1 1}〈1 1 0〉 to {1 1 1}〈1 1 2〉, while can get higher r¯-value and lower Δr-value. ► In the tested steel sheets, Δr-value which is more than 0.73 will significantly affect the deep drawing property. Higher r¯-value and lower Δr-value are attributed to the better drawability in the left side of forming limit diagram.
