Abstract
⺠This paper significantly contribute towards the reduction of machine downtime required for environmental thermal testing. ⺠Provides a novel, offline and efficient solution based on FEA to ensure machine tool's availability for production. ⺠the existence of environmental temperature fluctuations within shop floors and experimentally shows the effect on machine tool's precision. ⺠that industries avoid and neglect environmental thermal testing due to the associated machine downtime. ⺠The paper shows experimental testing, results and successful validations using FEA simulation.
