Abstract
⺠A distinguishing change-point for sensations was observed at a texture pitch of around 100 μm. ⺠Tactile recognition depends on the pitch of the texture, and not on the height. ⺠Micro-grooved textures were fabricated on plastic molding. ⺠The mechanism was investigated by force measurement.
