Abstract
► A first numerical study on the effect of a porous titanium femoral prosthesis on bone remodeling. ► Bone loss around the implant strongly depends on the value of the elastic modulus of the prosthesis. ► The bone volume with density loss and the bone loss rate decrease with the increase of the porosity.
