Abstract
⺠SiCp distribution was greatly improved by injection of milled composite powders. ⺠SiCp distribution was further improved by casting in semisolid state. ⺠The average SiCp size was greatly reduced by injection of milled composite powders. ⺠Porosity of the samples was decreased by compocasting and composite powder injection. ⺠The mechanical properties of compocast (Al-SiCp-Mg)cp composite were greatly increased.
