Abstract
⺠Study the effect of FSP on microstructure, ductility changes and the mechanical behavior of AA 7010. ⺠Elucidate the deformation mechanism of FSP 7010 in the temperature range 703-753 K. ⺠Compared to the unprocessed AA 7010, FSP is an effective means for ductility enhancement. ⺠The true Qa is independent to strain rate and equals 120 kJ/mol; close to that for diffusion of Mg in Al. ⺠The threshold stress is function of temperature where it decreases with increasing temperature.
