Abstract
Since the world energy needs is increasing, to find alternative new source of energy is strategically important. The solar is considered as an alternative source of energy. To reach the unlimited solar energy, the solar cells technology is the best way. In this paper a Silvaco ATLAS model of a Double Junction CIGS solar cell is created by utilizing actual solar cell parameters. Here a thin film of 4H-SiC is added and the cell's parameters are varied and then to produce an optimum efficiency of 28.31%. Using the proposed structure, the current matching condition is achieved where the short-circuit current densities of the both cells are same and equal to 18.65Â mA/cm2.
