Abstract
Based on theory of rate equations, the fluorescent dynamic process of transitions between different levels in Nd3+:NaYF4 transparent glass ceramic is analyzed and discussed theoretically. The radiative transition probability and non-radiative transition probability are calculated, respectively. The stationary states of rate equations are analyzed, and the populations of Nd3+ in each energy level are proposed. The results show that the crystallization increases the population probabilities of 4I15/2, 4I13/2 and 4I11/2 energy levels. Theoretical explanation is a significant complement of the experimental and practical application.
