Abstract
The influence of export pressure on plasma's arc length and equivalent particle number density is investigated by integrating moiré and emission tomography. Three argon arc plasmas, which are generated in the same experimental condition but with different export pressures, are chosen as practical examples for experiment. Based on the projection information obtained by emission tomography, the arc length of the three argon arc plasmas are obtained and compared. At the same time, the equivalent particle number density distributions of the three argon arc plasmas are reconstructed from the experimentally measured refractive index distribution by moiré tomography. The experimental results manifest that (1) the arc length increases with the increase of export pressure, while (2) the equivalent particle number density of the chosen cross section decreases with the increase of export pressure. In a word, this study will provide some reference for studying the optical property of plasma and better applying plasma in various scientific and technical fields.
