Abstract
Dependence of wavelength selectivity of holographic PV concentrators on film thickness have been reported in this manuscript through simulation and to validate with theoretical predictions, experimental curves have also been plotted with available wavelength sources for typically recorded holographic concentrators on available film thickness and are found to be in good agreement. Properly recorded holographic PV concentrators can perform wavelength selective properties, required for solar cells of matched band gap for their best performance. At the same time it can also filter out unwanted portion of solar spectrum which degrades the performance of the solar cells due to overheating and degradation of the collector material.
