Abstract
⺠We studied the interaction between photooxidised products of benzopirene and DNA using electrochemical sensor based on screen printed electrodes. ⺠The products are detectable using a ssDNA genomic sensor down to nanomolar range. ⺠Using oligonucleotides with amplified enzymatic detection, the products of photooxidation reaction form an adduct with the guanines and are able to inhibit the hybridisation reaction.
