Abstract
⺠A prototype QCM-based sensor developed for detection of meningococcal antigen. ⺠Used a microstructured PVDF layer and Protein A layer to maximise capture of antigen by antibody. ⺠Conjugated gold nanoparticles to antigen to enhance the mass sensitivity of the sensor. ⺠Observed linear log-log calibration curve in range 312 ng/mL to 20 μg/mL of antigen.
